Barn Eggs

Barn eggs are produced in farms where the hens are allowed to move freely around the hen-house. The maximum stocking density is 9 hens/m². Litter must account for one third of the floor space allowing the chicken to take dust baths and scratch. The hens have nest boxes and perches to sit on.

The egg is candled and photographed in the process of packing to ensure the highest quality for our customers. The eggs are also stamped with codes for producer, way of production and country of origin. In this way we can trace the egg all the way back to its home farm.

Animal welfare is important to us – happy chickens lay the best eggs! Our eggs come from Finnish farms.

You recognize barn eggs from the number 2 on the egg.
